Baldwin Park Business Association Announces Media Scholarship Program for High School Seniors

Baldwin Park, CA – The Baldwin Park Business Association (BPBA) is excited to announce the launch of its annual Media Scholarship Program for graduating seniors from Baldwin Park High School (BPHS), Sierra Vista High School (SVHS), and North Park High School (NPHS). This is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their creativity while learning about the important role the BPBA plays in supporting local businesses and fostering economic growth within the community.

Program Overview: Students are invited to create a video exploring the role of the Baldwin Park Business Association in business development and community connections. The video should highlight how the BPBA
supports local businesses and drives economic development in Baldwin Park.

Eligibility Requirements:  1. Must be a graduating senior from BPHS, SVHS, or NPHS.  2. Maintain a current GPA of 2.0 or higher.  3. Plan to attend a two- or four-year college, or technical college within one year of graduation.  4. Submit a completed online application, signed eligibility and release form, and video entry.

Scholarship Award: 1. $500 scholarship for one student per high school. 2. One recipient will be selected from each of the three schools. Video Submission Details: 1. Video length: 1.5 to 3 minutes. 2. Use any video recording device (camera, smartphone, webcam). 3. Show creative use of transitions, effects, and text overlays. 4. Include footage of at least two BPBA member locations (membership roster available on the BPBA website). 5. Export video as MP4 and upload to YouTube or Vimeo. 6. Video style can vary (e.g., Reality TV, PSA, TV Anchor, Drama, etc.). 7. Include ending credits with your full name, high school, and date.

Important Dates: Deadline for applications: 5 p.m. on April 11, 2025. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email: April 18, 2025., Check presentations: Week of April 21-25, 2025.
